Seriously, people? Hands down for a slap. I feel like freezing all boosting games until we get more discussion about TV shows going on this board! DISGRACEFUL.
I thought the premiere was fantastic. I felt like we got to know everyone and from everyone we were shown, everyone is playing to win.
It's funny how preshow opinions are quick to change once the season airs. I did not watch any of the pregame interviews and I only read four of the transcripts of them (Max, Shirin, So and Sierra). I was impressed with So on paper, but she was SO stupid with her transparent lies. I was not disappointed by the other three, though. Although, I was shocked at Shirin's lack of puzzle skills. (That said, it seems like the entire tribe thought it was going to be putting numbers in order 1-50, but it was not.) However, that cannot help me from loving her for her despising of Amanda Kimmel <33. Sierra seems like she might be a gamebot which I like.
I was surprised by my liking of Lindsey as I thought she would be much like her namesake counterparts. (I.e., annoying, awful, quitter). I found myself LOLing at Rodney and was impressed that he wasn't as dumb as my mutual friends that I have with him described him to me.
Mike was good for entertainment on that tribe, stupidly eating that scorpion, but also seemingly being the gentle giant. Dan was a total mess, which surprised me as well since I thought he would be more superfan, than anything. Like a fat Cochran, tbh.
I was also impressed with Jenn as she was kind of boring to me preshow but it seems she has a great head on her shoulders. Vince is NATURALLY the creep that I assumed he was, based on his outfit and feathers. Glad that did not disappoint. The rest of the No Collars were pretty boring though.
I liked everyone on White Colar, most impressed by Carolyn's ability to read the group really well and her observations of So Stupid looking for the idol.
Overall, I think when you have a strong premier like this it is difficult for the season to attain to that same level of excitement that the first episode brings, but I found myself pumped even more for episode 2. I hope that it does not disappoint, but perhaps, for once, the hype this season has is going to live up to it!
