Ahmad Behzadi (30)
This thirty-year-old was originally born in Mashhad, Iran but left with his parents during the first revolution.  He is now a biomedical engineer living in Boston, Massachusetts.  He is a practicing Muslim and will engage in prayer while in the house.  Ahmad is single and does not count out finding romance in the house.  When asked to describe himself in three words, he said, ‘humorous, faithful, but a little insensitive.”  He said his ideal housemate would be respectful, like soccer, and do nice things for him.

CJ Weaver (25)
Tattooed with Ani Defranco lyrics, CJ is a true feminist.  She had a conservative upbringing in rural Ohio; but rebelled against her parents by moving with her girlfriend to Chicago at 17.  Now aged 25, CJ cited the reason for joining the Big Brother house as an opportunity to teach people about how others live.  She cannot stand closed minded individuals, racists, or bullies.  She is a vegetarian, but admittedly eats a “bit too much cheese”.

Giesela Bern (29)
Spicy Miami-native Giesela has a proud cultural heritage.  Her mother is Brazilian and her father is German.  She admits that she got the worst of both the stereotypes associated with these people.  She says, “I am stern like my German father, but have a fiery temper like my mama.”  That aside, Gisela is a multifaceted individual that helps teach migrant children English.  She enjoys teaching and volleyball.  She would also do “anything to win” but “would like to make some genuine friendships along the way.”

Joachim Cohen (40)
Joachim is a single father of a daughter named Ana.  He said the toughest part about the Big Brother experience will be the separation.  Joachim presents himself as very selfless.  A NYC construction worker, he barely has enough to pay for Ana’s schooling, their apartment, and the debts that came from his divorce.  “Not winning is not an option, I already had to quit work to have the Big brother experience”.  Joachim says lazy people annoy him, but he will bite his tongue as he is not usually confrontational.

Louis Rousseau (32)
Louis is a premiere Cajun chef in New Orleans, Louisiana.  He is definitely prepared to take on the role of house cook, and he admits that he loves to clean up too (something his wife Chloe enjoys the benefits of).  Louis has a bit of a potty mouth, in the pre-interview with Big Brother, he swore 87 times.  Louis said that he would like to meet a wide variety of people, particularly ones that have a taste for spicy foods.

Melody Patel (24)
Melody is half African-American/ half Gujarati Indian.  She works as a social work assistant in Los Angeles, California, but says she lives for the weekend.  Her strict Indian father does not know that his girl is a chain-smoking, vodka-drinking party girl on the weekends.  She said, “There’s no chance in hell I can hid this from him on television.”  Melody loves to shop and she let the producers know she was bringing a different dress for every eviction, and a gown for when she wins Big Brother.  In our follow up interview she said, “I was joking.. Not about the dress part, but the winning part. I’ll probably be first out”.
